Located 350 kilometers from the capital, our Tamkeny Center in the Red Sea was established to economically empower women and youth in Ras Gharib city.
This project primarily supports low-income women in Ras Gharib, helping them navigate the global economic crisis and its impacts on their social conditions and children’s education.
Since 2022, Buttonup and United Energy Egypt have been working through the Tamkeny project, marking a major step toward empowering the Ras Gharib community through vocational training, business education, employment opportunities, and product sales.
The current phase, titled “Empowering Communities, Cultivating Entrepreneurship,” aims to further empower the women and youth of Ras Gharib, Egypt, by creating an enabling environment for skill development, entrepreneurship, and sustainable business growth. Through tailored vocational training programs encompassing various handicrafts, entrepreneurship incubation, and environmental awareness initiatives, the project seeks to equip beneficiaries with the necessary tools, knowledge, and confidence to establish and manage their own businesses.
