Through vocational training, design innovation, and community collaboration, we empower women and youth in Egypt—especially those initially excluded from the labor market—to become skilled artisans, entrepreneurs, and changemakers.
Our model is designed to be replicable across different underserved areas, offering pathways to economic independence while preserving cultural heritage and promoting sustainable practices.

A key development partner in Buttonup’s journey, UEE has supported the Tamkeny project since 2022, helping establish a replicable model of community-based empowerment and sustainable production in underserved areas.
ENBD partnered with Buttonup in 2021 to implement Taproot, a program designed to equip individuals with practical skills in upcycling and ethical production, fostering economic inclusion and environmental awareness.
